How to convert your Yoke from U straps to U bolts. Using a 5/16th inch drill bit and a Help part#81004 you can easily modify your yoke to accept U-bolts. Works on a Dana 35, Dana 44, Chrysler 8.25 and a Dana 30 with a little grinding off the back. The U bolts are stronger, beefier, and easier to replace on the trail than the straps.
*Update* – some yokes appear to be deeper and therefore do not allow the standard u-bolts to go all the way through and out other side. Make sure to check this before drilling yours out.
