In this video I’ll show you how to diagnose, clean, fix, and repair your NSS or Neutral Safety Switch. It is a lot simpler than you might think. A Jeep Cherokee with a manual transmission does not have a NSS. Keep in mind that some symptoms of the NSS failing are:
1: Vehicle wont start until you wiggle the shifter handle or put it in Neutral
2: Reverse Lights not working correctly
3: Check engine codes, such as P0700 (Transmission Control System Malfunction)
4: P0705 (Transmission Range Sensor Malfunction)
