In this video my buddy Jeremy and I take on a challenge of building a bowling ball welding table in about 4 hours one night in my shop. This is what we ended up with. What is it for you may ask? Well for positioning anything really (kinda like a giant ball head on a tripod)… but in my world I would use it for welding. You see when you are welding you always want the weld to be on the top so the puddle looks better and you get better penetration without the molten metal trying to drip down because of gravity. So when you are working on small pieces… lets say you have to do 100 of them, this bowling ball welding table makes it easy and quick to reposition the piece just where you want it and in the right position for welding one side, and then the other in a snap!
