Hi, I watched your video on checking the coolant system but I have a problem. 99 Grand Cherokee 4.0, it has a new radiator, electric fan, relay, been fine for months. Now it overheated and theres no heat, it was fine earlier in the day then it just overheated. I changed the thermostat and when I have the cap off to burp the system it over flows and it doesn’t seem to flow through the system. I took the thermostat back out and drilled a small hole in the top to let some air pass and also put it in some boiling water to make sure it worked, all good and put it back in, still overheating. The water pump isn’t leaking or making any noise. I was wondering if theres anything else I could try before I replace the pump.

you might try taking some hoses off somewhere and trying to fill those air pocket areas with coolant. Or if you let it warm and cool several times it will pull coolant from the reservoir. Otherwise you may have a block in the system or a bad pump.

Well I took out the pump, impellar looks ok but does not spin at all, pulley spins, impellar does nothing. New pump 🙂
